Not exactly in a whisper. More like a dark mutter that bounces off the walls of the alley around you; gaining an edge from the rain soaking through your coat.
"Hey, you say you're an artist? You need inspiration? Well, how about providing some to others in return?"
You turn and look, but the speaker is gone. Only you and the rain remain.
Yeah, here I go with ideas for a prompt again. We'll see how this works. This is, as I've hinted, an exchange. If you're brave and interested enough, share a work from your gallery appropriate to the group with us. If it's one you've already submitted, note me or comment with the thumb in the thread below, and I'll copy it to the prompt folder.
There are TWO segments to this prompt: For those with a story, it's shared for the purpose of providing a base for those who might wish to make an image from it. For those on the visual side, it's the other way around. There are two folders in the Gallery, and then once we start getting responses (we WILL get responses ) I'll add them to the Prompt Folder and include a journal promoting their work. This is not a contest, but as usual, I will (at least) feature the artwork of those who respond.
Also, as a reminder: This group is for Urban Fantasy, as defined by the "What is Urban Fantasy?" journal from our founding: fav.me/d4fxptv If you have questions about whether something is proper to the group, please ask. Sci-fi is not fantasy, and a rural scene is not urban. BOTH aspects of the genre must be represented (unless it's a character portrait) for the work to be urban fantasy and belong to the group. It does not 'have' to be contemporary. Steampunk or medieval fantasy is fine, as long as it's clearly urban fantasy. If we reject something for not being genre, it's not an insult to your work. It's a reminder that this group is as much about genre promotion as it is promoting its members. Thank you for understanding and your support of
Exchange Prompt "Kickstarters" can be found in the Gallery, marked "Exchange Stories" and "Exchange Images." Have at it!
